POP ART STYLE HOME DECOR

5/26/2023

When choosing the pop art style for home decor, the primary rule is to opt for unpredictable and non-monotonous furnishings, which does not mean exaggerating to the point of recreating a chaotic or heavy atmosphere, for life everyday, but simply introduce elements that are outside the box. Certainly, a striking feature of the pop art style is the introduction of characteristic writings of this current, such as "BOOM" or "WOW".

As for the colors, the pop art style scene tends to dominate, the bright and flashy colors, such as red, fuchsia, yellow, green and blue, for the accessories and small furnishings, such as paintings, ornaments and, in contrast with the softer ones on a structural level and for the large furnishings, such as black, white and beige.

However, a lot of color is certainly the basis of this style, as long as it is always linked to minimalism, characterizing the various environments with simple lines.

In relation to materials, on the podium we find plastic, although they are not of a very eco-sustainable choice, combined with rubber, leather, resin, various metals and wood, which is never missing in any style.

Given that the pop art style refers to an era like the 60s and 70s, in which people dared to experiment a lot to get out of the box, the furnishings that made the history of this artistic movement are fundamental; therefore, we advise you to introduce some replica of an artistic piece linked to the pop art current, such as for example the very famous paintings with Marilyn Monroe, Audrey Hepburn, John Lennon, vintage cars or possibly the famous La Bocca sofa, also inspired by the lips by Marilyn Monroe. It is not excluded, if there were the possibilities, to aim for the search for an original piece.

As for the choice of furniture, opt for particular geometric shapes, with rounded lines or with accentuated corners. Furthermore, carpets and large and comfortable armchairs, always characterized by bright shades, certainly cannot be missing as they make the environment electrifying and highlight its style.

Finally, remember to pay attention to the lighting, evaluating vintage and colorful chandeliers, possibly to be mounted with different levels, so as to make the spaces wider to the eye and give a sense of movement to the space we are furnishing.
